Cécile Bortoletti was born and lives in Paris. In the 90's, she studied cinema and photography at the University Paris VIII, following Claudine Eizickman courses. Then she worked as assistant of the producer and director Marc’O during several years, and started to produce experimental films with the band «MOLOKINO» she created with David T.V, Agathe Gris, Hélèna Villovitch. Following Man Ray steps, they promoted « expanded cinema ». The MOLOKINO band is consequently being invited in most of the places related to the cinema, alternative culture, as well as art institutes, gallery and improvised places. At the same time she begins to work as a photographer in collaboration with the designers Bless, Martin Margiela, Charles Anastase and Marjan Pejoski. 1997 she presents her work at the Festival International des Arts de la Mode at Hyères. Cecile Bortoletti's work is published in ELLE, DAZED&CONFUSED, SELF-SERVICE, PURPLE, JALOUSE, ABOVE, CRASH, STUDIO VOICE, NIKKEI… For 3 years she worked for ISSEY MIYAKE realizing their advertising campaigns for men and women. She continues her film-work and realized a short-film for the current exhibition of CHRISTIAN LACROIX, exhibition directed by Christian Rizzo and David Dubois. |
